BridgeHealth Supports Women’s Cardiac Health During American Heart Association’s Annual Go Red for Women® Celebration

BridgeHealth Raises Awareness for Women’s Heart Disease, Sponsoring the Go Red for Women® Luncheon in Atlanta

DENVER, Colo. — BridgeHealth, an industry-leading provider of surgical advocacy and centers of excellence (COE) programs, will help raise awareness around heart disease and stroke in women at the American Heart Association annual Go Red for Women Luncheon in Atlanta, Georgia on June 10, 2020.

Delta Air Lines, who recently partnered with BridgeHealth to provide its employees access to quality surgical care and coordination, asked BridgeHealth to help sponsor this important initiative to support women and their heart-healthiness at this year’s Go Red for Women® Luncheon. Delta has been a key supporter of the American Heart Association since 2012.

“Cardiac disease is the number one driver of emergent and planned cardiac surgeries,” said BridgeHealth president, Jamie Hall. “Awareness and prevention can significantly reduce the need for surgical cardiac care later in life. But there is still a lack of awareness around cardiac disease and stroke in women, and we are honored to be partnering with Delta Air Lines in supporting this important cause.”

The annual luncheon is one of almost 200 similar fundraisers held nationwide every year to raise awareness of and, ultimately, eliminate heart disease and stroke in women. Due to COVID-19, the American Heart Association’s signature women’s event in Atlanta will take place virtually. As in year’s past, the event will serve as a local platform for Atlanta-based survivors to share their stories and for Atlanta-based women, their friends, family members, and business partners to come together and support one another in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
